The Holly Leaves play an important role in Christmas. It is the symbol of Christ's Thrown. The spines of the leaves became symbolic of “Crown of Thorns”, the red berries representing the drops of blood associated with his suffering. On Christmas people use these leaves as their decorations, thy can hang them, or put them around the candles or sew them into boughs.
